What is Sora? It is a reading app for students, by OverDrive.

Use it in a browser window on desktops, laptops, netbooks, etc… and/or use the app on your iOS or Android device.

With Sora you can also search for books in the Harris County Public Library.

NOTE: By adding public libraries in Sora, you are leaving PISD and will be redirected to content selected by  those libraries.

Click here on library cards.

Select Log In from the blue bar at the top.

Your username is your Student ID number WITHOUT LETTERS.

Your password is the same.

When you see your name at the top select MY ACCOUNT then CHECKOUTS tab near the middle of the page to see a list of books you have checked out. 

Make sure you LOG OUT before leaving the page.

Teachers use your employee ID and the universal password.  If you don't know this password, look in your library handbook or see the librarian. 

This is Ms. Betancourt's 11th year as a librarian at Gardens. Ms. B. has worked with students for more than 20 years in education. She is married and has 2 wonderful children and two loving tuxedo cats. Ms. Betancourt received her undergraduate degree from UT and a Masters degree from UNT-University of North Texas.
